This miniature porcelain pumpkin features a marbleized design in the always-classic color combination of blue and white. The pumpkin is accented with a hand-painted gold stem and leaf. The technique of marbling is believed to have been developed as early as the 12th century in Japan, with many variations practiced throughout history in Persia as well as Europe. Each serene and mesmerizing swirled pattern, revealed by equal parts chance and the artist’s technique, is truly one-of-a-kind. Made of glazed porcelain and decorated with professional grade enamel paints, each pumpkin measures approximately 3 ½ inches in diameter and 3 ½ inches tall. As each pumpkin is one-of-a-kind, the design shown in the photos are representative, and the actual decoration will vary. Blue felt has been affixed to the bottom to protect furniture and other surfaces from scratching. Each pumpkin is presented in a cellophane bag with ribbon tie and ready for gift-giving.
