Vintage Blue and White Japanese Porcelain "Four Seasons" Teapot
This vintage Japanese porcelain teapot with wicker handle is decorated with a pattern of geometric and floral motifs known as "Four Seasons."
In overall great condition for its vintage age, neither the lid nor porcelain body of the teapot has large cracks or chips. Crazing (fine cracks in the glaze) as shown is consistent with age and prior use. Negligible wear to the wicker handle as shown. The teapot retains its original label reading "O.M.C. Japan." The Otagiri Mercantile Company (O.M.C.) was a San Francisco area importer and distributor of Japanese porcelain between 1958 and 1994.
Approximate dimensions: 9 inches tall including handle; 7 ½ inches wide; 6 inches inches deep. Holds approximately 4 cups.
