Vintage Blue and White Porcelain "Four Seasons" Japanese Lidded Tea Caddy

This vintage Japanese porcelain tea caddy decorated in a pattern known as "Four Seasons" will be a unique addition to any blue and white collection.

In overall great condition for its vintage age, neither of the two lids nor the vase of this piece has large cracks or chips. All pieces have crazing (fine cracks in the glaze) as shown consistent with age and prior use. Minor, expected wear on the unglazed foot as shown. This vintage tea caddy is unmarked, though was likely distributed by Otagiri Mercantile Company (O.M.C.), a San Francisco area importer and distributor of Japanese porcelain between 1958 and 1994.

Approximate dimensions: 6 ¾ inches high including lid; 5 ¾ inches in diameter at widest point.
