Vintage Framed and Matted Chinoiserie Orchid Still Life Lithograph by Carolyn Bucha

This lovely vintage framed and matted lithograph of a watercolor by artist Carolyn Bucha features a still life with orchids. The cheerful combination of pinks, yellows, and greens in the flowers and Chinoiserie vases is offset beautifully by the piece's ornate gold frame.

In overall very good condition for its vintage age, the wood frame of this piece has some minor wear as shown consistent with age and prior use. Glass has no cracks or chips. The print and matting are without stains or tears. Attached metal picture hanger is secure.

Self-taught Connecticut artist Carolyn Bucha has painted for greeting card companies for over 20 years, and her artwork has also appeared in several books, as well as on houseware products. Her work is in many private collections, including that of Mrs. George H. W. Bush. The print presented here is part of a series of orchid still lifes completed in 1991.
