This vintage ceramic planter features a deep green glaze reminiscent of jasper and an interesting scalloped shape. A unique addition to any mid-century pottery collection or vessel for a special floral arrangement.
In overall very good condition for its vintage age, this piece has no large cracks, chips, or crazing (fine cracks in the glaze). There are a few flea bites and glaze irregularities along the inner aspect of the rim as shown consistent with age and prior use, as well as the glazing process. This piece is incised CP-3807 USA on the bottom. Cookson Pottery was established in Roseville, Ohio, in 1945 and operated until 1995.
Approximate dimensions: 7 ¼ inches wide by 5 ½ inches deep; 4 inches high.
