This vintage Chinese porcelain decorative lidded box features a hand-painted design of regal pheasants in a unique color combination of soft pinks, greens, and blues. Use as stylish storage for your remote controls on a coffee table, or add a touch of Chinoiserie style to your desk while corralling office supplies.
In overall great condition for its vintage age, this piece is substantial. Neither the lid nor box has cracks, chips, or crazing (fine cracks in the glaze). Expected wear to the unglazed surfaces as shown consistent with age and prior use. The bottom of the box retains an old label from now-closed Kensington Furniture in Berlin, CT. The word Sadek is also hand-written on the label.
