Vintage Hand-Painted Round Chinese Porcelain Trinket Box with Lid

This vintage Chinese porcelain trinket box is hand-painted in shades of cobalt blue with accents of pink and green. The lid depicts children at play. The sides of the box feature a lotus motif as well as pheasants.

In overall very good condition for its vintage age, neither the lid nor box of this piece has cracks or crazing (fine cracks in the glaze). There are two areas with chipping along the unglazed edge of the lid as shown consistent with prior use. Minor wear of the unglazed surfaces as shown is consistent with age and prior use. Marked Made in China on the bottom of the box, this piece likely dates to the mid- to late-20th century.
