Product Details
This lovely vintage Delftware vase is a welcome addition to any blue and white porcelain collection.
In overall excellent condition for its vintage age, this piece has no cracks or chips. Minor crazing (fine cracks in the glaze) are consistent with age and prior use. The piece bears the characteristic hand-painted, underglazed factory marks on the bottom including a depiction of a jar, the stylized initials JT (for Joost Thooft, who took over the De Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles factory in 1876), the city name Delft, as well as the painter's initials, yearmark, and production number. The yearmark of CR indicates this piece was made in 1972. The piece also bears incised marks.
Approximate dimensions: 4 ½ inches tall; 3 ¼ inches in diameter at widest point.
